Quality Vaginal Dilator Set - 6 Dilators Made From Medical Grade 'Warm' Silicone
What is a Vaginal Dilator?
A vaginal dilator is a smooth rigid, cylinder-shaped piece of plastic that is used to stretch vaginal muscles to make them more pliable. Many medical conditions affecting the vaginal structure and can be alleviated through use of a dilator. Typically, it is required for women suffering issues with narrowing, scarring, or the need for development of their vaginas. These dilators are a Class 1 Medical Device and CE approved.
Why These Dilators?
Designed as a therapeutic tool by gynecologists, these dilators have exactly the right balance between rigidness and flexibility, meaning they bend to match the internal curvature of the vagina yet stay rigid enough to assist the exercise regime. Made from a medical grade silicone they can be boiled or autoclaved for absolute hygiene. The final point is that they are a 'warm silicone' meaning that they retain the bodies warmth, if they were a cold plastic like some other designs in the market it could cause shock and contraction in the muscles upon insertion when what is needed is a relaxed state. .

How to Use a Vaginal Dilator?
You may find using a dilator is more comfortable after a hot bath, which makes skin softer and more pliable. The easiest way to insert a dilator into the vagina is to lie down on a bed in a relaxed position, with your knees bent.
Much like tampons, some women prefer to insert them whilst standing with one leg on a chair. It is best to use some lubricant such as KY Jelly on the rounded end of the dilator to ensure that it can be applied without causing unnecessary pain or friction.
Gently insert the dilator into your vagina as far as it will go without causing you any discomfort. When inserted, the dilator may feel snug, but should not be painful. Once inserted, keep the dilator in place for as long as your doctor has recommended.
Please note that these instructions are very general. Some parts of the process will vary according to the requirements of different conditions. It is always important to follow the advice of your doctor regarding the use of dilators.
Care and Hygeine
The dilators are made of silicone which can be boiled or autoclaved if needed, for example if there is a risk of infection or contamination from an outside source. Otherwise hot water and soap is sufficient with the dialators being thouroughly dry before storing in their bag.
Dilators and Yes® Lubricants
Yes Organic, water-based lubricants work great with dilators and can help simplify the treatment process. Because the dilators are silicone, the water-based lubricant will never harm or errode the surface of your set of dilators. Yes Organic, water-based lubricants are completey safe, compatible and recommended to be used in conjunction with your dilators.
